Subject: checking ignition switch?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hi everyone. I posted a few weeks ago, 86 syncro having electrical problems, alt is fine, battery is fine, starter is fine. Sometimes I go to turn the key and nothing at all, sometimes not even dash lights, other times I get lights and a very faint turn over. Before the problem really acted up sometimes there would be a 1 second delay before current reached the starter and other times when it wouldn't start I would jump start it..as soon as the cables are hooked up, away I go. So now my thoughts lead me to the ignition switch.

Is there a way to test the ignition switch? Do these seem like classic ignition switch problems? What's it like to replace and how much are they?

Also where does the ground from my starter go to on the frame, I can't find it with all that syncro stuff?

Thank You! Andy
