http://www.benplace.com/bjp_head2/100_0046.jpg This is the easiest way (not to say the only way) to put back pistons and sleeves back in, i tried both way, piston first and sleeves after....NO GO, not enough room. Pistons in sleeves first and pistons pin last... BUT you will need to heat those piston pins hard, and for that, you need a curved torch. So in other words, you will need to remove everything on that side anyway, why not do it all... of what i know, there is 2 rings size available. that all depend of your engine condition, but in your case take the standard one. You gonna have some fun with the engine IN the van, he he he... Here are a few pictures of all the steps: http://www.benplace.com/vanagon_engine2.htm Cheers, Ben ______________________________________________________________________ Is it OK to just replace one of the rings in one of the cylinders? Should I replace all the rings on that cylinder? Should I replace all the rings on all the cylinders? Are different size rings available? How do I know which to get? |
