Hi Karl, I tapped into four wires: R+L turn signals, brakes and running lights. Add a ground and it brings me up to five wires in the circuit. I am not running relays, I'm powering the system using the bus wiring and so far it's working well. The Westrailer wiring is using two harnesses. 1. standard 4-wire flat harness with Yellow = Bright Red Left, Green = Bright Red Right, Brown = Running Lights White = ground. 2. A simple 2-wire connector for right and left turn signals (orange lamps) If someone with a standard harness borrows the trailer (or I borrow their vehicle to tow the trailer) it works with the red lights only. If I use the westfakia to tow the trailer then I get orange turn signals.
