I mounted my extinguisher horizonally on the front seat pedestal, right under my knees. I know it's there but I never see it. And if I have a fire, it will be in my hands when I get out of the car while I decide where to apply it. I figure I could save 10 seconds this way. In my camper, it's inside the sliding door where they all are. It's a diesel, my only fire concern is a cooking accident.
