Subject: Westy Waxing: Recommendations?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

My '88 Westy badly needs a coat of wax. Primary research reveals many different choices - waxes, paint sealers, many different brands. The vehicle hasn't been waxed in at least 5 years so I believe a specific approach is required for best results and paint protection. I'd appreciate any specific recommendations regarding method and brands.

For the poptop, I bought a bottle of 303 Aerospace Protectant to help reduce oxidation, but I'm unsure whether it will just protect against further oxidation or actually restore some luster to the fiberglass surface. Comments welcome in this area, too.

Finally, I've rejoined the list recently and can't seem to find the correct page to search the archives - selecting "Archives" from the Vanagon.com site brings up a blank page. Have the archives moved?

Thanks for any input.

Chris Paquette '88 Westy, "Rocinante"
