It happened to me.  Here's what I did to fix:


1.  Drill out the previously-threaded hole in the alternator.
2.  Run a longer bolt THROUGH the hole so that you can thread a
nut on the opposite side.  Put a lock washer on it, cinch it
down, and you're done.
