Subject: Randomly Parking Wipers
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Volks -

My '87 Westy just started having a case of randomly parking windshield wipers. On Intermittant they work fine, but low or high speed, when you switch the lever to off, they just stop wherever they are.

I can still switch to intermittant, and then turn them off from the parked position, but it is a pain.

The archives say it's either the relay or the motor. I have tried the relay from Matthew's Westy which works fine for him, but doesn't fix my problem. There was some discussion about fixing a connection on the motor, but I couldn't find a description of how to do that.

Any suggestions?

Is the motor another one of those 'Remove the Dashboard' jobs?

Thanks!

- Mike
