Thanks to everyone that replied to this.

I am planning on pulling the heads this weekend. I wondered about the oil pressure relief thing also.

Bob, I am fighting a fuel problem! damn, I should of pulled the tank in the first place! I am still worried about the lower end. have you ever seen a stripped gear or is it possible that it broke the cam or something? I can get it back to top dead and the distributor is on #1 with no "rock" on the #1 lifters but there is a strange feeling and noise like the gears stripping just before it reaches top dead. I tapped the valves in with a plastic mallet to see if they would loosen and come back out but they are stuck ! and now I cant turn the motor over of course. jeff 86' Westy weekender
