Jeff did you pull the rockers and try to turn the engine without them cant be sure what the top dead center noise is the pressure relief did not come in contact with the contaminated fuel so just change the oil and inspect what comes out are the heads OEM or AMC replacements I have good used push rods and any other new or used part you might need have you taken a fuel sample yet,seeif it looks like gas put it in a glass jar for best your best view
