Subject: EVER HEARD OF SPECIAL STEERING COLUMN GREASE?
Content-type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Dear List members, What I thought was power steering problems appears to be the possiblilty of a tight steering column bearing in the relay near the bottom of the shaft as it goes through the floor.. The haynes manual mentions a special VW grease to be used on this bearing...

I don't have a clue...has anyone ever greased the steering shaft bearing and what about this Special Grease???

Don't want to drive it like it is but don't know what to do?

any help would be great.
