Chris, There is so much coffee in the seat that by the time you get all out, you would wear the seat and make small holes in it with your hand held whatever. The seat must come out of the car. And just as you would clean a sponge of dirt in it, you need to soak it with water and squeeze it out repeatedly. It is not dirt, it is coffee. This way the fabric will not wear out ubnormally or get torn by the hand held something. You will soon notice the dilution and the eventual disappearance of the dreaded coffee and coca cola history. This applies to the carpet too. Even the carpet material will fall apart with all the rubbing for too long. Just hose the thing long enought to have those dried in coke and coffee that spilled in that quater of century living in it. Take the carpet out. Its easy. If it is the rear seat of a Westy, take the screws out and lift the bottom or the back of the seat out of the car. Finally, you would be able to clean it properly. And as a final clean, apply some soap and finish the job. Let it drip out for a long time. It will be drying for days of the little water still in the sponge. This is really a small job and a clean work. You may get splashed with water. Enjoy.
