Hi Bill,

I'd drain all the oil overnight, then tilt the van so the hole is highest & no more oil drains. then I'd clean with brake cleaner and goop thoroughly with JB weld.

This is basically what I just got done doing to the water jackets on my engine!

HELP! I noticed that my transmission was leaking a little and thought I'd need a gasket perhaps but when I crawled under to take a look I found that the middle case of the 3 cases making up the transmission, was seriously corroded. A corner has worn through and was the cause of the leak. Even worse, when I opened the filler cap to add some oil, all the remaining oil raced out. So my question is, is there something that I can use as a temporary patch on the pinhole in the aluminum case until I can find a replacement transmission or decide it's time to make it a parts on wheels. What I also found odd was that the other two cases were fine and showed no corrosion but the middle one was being eaten alive. Thanks as usual.
