Dear gang,
I have an 81 Transporter that has some severe problems and needs to be rebuilt. This is one of those "gonna take some time" deals where the owner of said bus hasn't the money to sink into it all at once. My first goal is to get the thing up and running and mechanically able to pass the VET so I can license it before the fall semester starts (end of August). I've taken it to the most widely known VW repair outfit and they've managed to scam me out of $1500 by "fixing" things and yet the van still doesn't run. I'm looking for any suggestions you might be able to offer.
Thanks in advance
