I installed it some weeks ago, on a non-padded dash. Takes quit some
work to get the edges in the right shape for a nice fit.
After that I used a piece of ply-wood (12mm) and made it the same size
as the console. The plywood is mounted to the dash, and the console
mounts to the plywood with M4 bolts, so I can remove it easily.
I used 6 bolts, three in the back, three in the front: two in the hinges
of the table, and one extra in the left cup-holder. It really stable
now, no vibrations.
