The tow hook mounted hitches will break the loops if used for carrying any load that imparts a twisting action. BTDT! That is why I designed the hitch that I did.

Oh, I don't doubt they will take a pull, a more or less direct pull, but it was the force applied perpendicular , ie tongue weight, that i was wondering about.
