Subject: Replaced my old fuel lines today..
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

So I finally got around to replacing my old fuel lines on my '84 Westy (only had it a few months now). started pulling off the old lines, which looked to be in decent shape, only to discover that the date code on them was 1984! Been driving around with 21 year old fuel lines, makes me kinda shiver to think about it, especially considering how many horror stories I hear about these things self-detonating (saw one at our local Volks-only junkyard that was completely burned out recently). Anyway, I'm glad I got it done. I only replaced the engine bay hoses when I did it though. Is it really important to change the hoses to the front of the bulkhead fitting? Also I have hard plastic line running from the filter to a short piece of injector hose at the front of the bulkhead fitting, does that need to be replaced as well?

-Nate '84 Westy
