my solution is similar to marks.  additionally i warm the bottle of gear
oil in a double boiler on the stove to assist in reducing viscosity during
fill.  another trick i use is that i made my self a tranny dipstick using
a piece of wire bent in a L shape and marked with the proper fill level.
