>They put in a 056-919-081-E, which I think is the 1.8 BAR sensor, but I >think I read that it should be the .9 BAR sensor. So now I'm confused. Which >sensor, located behind the pulley, should I have in an 88 GL 2.1 engine? Indeed, the -E sensor is the wrong one. The .9bar is 068-919-081-A, according to ETKA6. If they can't follow numbers, tell 'em it needs the GREY one, not the WHITE one! >PS: If it should have been a .9 BAR sensor, where in the engine is a 1.8 BAR >sensor used? I think the one between the cylinders is a .3, so what do you do >with a 1.8? The ETKA shows it as an alternate for the wasserboxer in the same position as the .9bar, for some reason, and offers no explaination. The same page shows the 1.4bar sensor for the diesel going where it goes for that engine, so it's obviously not a mis-labelled diesel sensor. Perhaps some T3's somewhere use some sort of higher pressure system? Doesn't make much sense to me. John Bange '90 Vanagon "Geldsauger" 9 months owned - $11144 "invested" |
