I converted one aircooled Vanagon to Westy in the past, with exeption of popup roof. After living with Westy for the last 6 years decided it's no longer as good as it appeared to me then. Some cabinets are mostly useless, i mean lots of removing and shuffling needed to get to things. Not to mention the useless fridge and swinging table. If you don't cook inside, don't wash dishes and can live without popup roof, GL Vanagon is better platform to "fill" with useful cabinets and larger bed. Lots of room inside Popup roofs have been done too but takes lots of work Leon
