Thanks Sam, I think I have gotten screwed on Ebay, since my Idle Stabilizer doesn't seem to be "buzzing" at all when I turn the key on. I think it could also be the Temp 2, and in fact, with my bastardized harness (as you say ;-) it could be a host of issues! I didn't think it could be that since I have driven it for about 6 months without this issue. [But yes, since parts for this thing are hard to come by down here we have "jerry-rigged" a harness from a 1984 Vanagon and so far haven't had too many problems--had to move the ECU to a different position since their wasn't enough length on the harness, and when I replaced my o2 sensor I found that their is a different connection, but other than that all seems to work well.] I guess I will just write down some names from the Vanagon Rescue Squad and hope I won't have to call them somewhere between here and Minnesota!
