Hello, I recently used sea foam at solvent. The can says that no seal conditioners are present in the formula and that this product is powerful. It is!I placed about 60% of 1 can in the auto trans of a Nissan Sentra and drove it for 10 minutes. I then drained the fluid and added new fluid. This quickly turned black(5 min), like the first batch did.I drained this fluid.I guess this was good, but the owner of the Sentra then went to a Goodyear service center a couple of weeks later. They said that she needed a trans flush.I guess the fluid turned black with crud again.Nasty stuff. Crud better run! As for using a product such as this , Pat Goss of moter week says that if your current fluid looks bad, dont use a solvent type flush. It will remove the varnish that is taking up space on the valve body parts where wear took place. After words ,your trans may slip.Powerful stuff. |
