There is a non-USA BMW that was impounded last week here in the denver area.
He was trying to get it accepted for almost 2 years. The vehicle was
basically just surrendered after the owner gave up on the hassle. The
vehicle was never US EPA or Canadian certified or type classed from what I
was told. Donšt know how he got it to the US other than probably on a ship.
Colorado has also recently tightened its titling requirements for vehicles
with no previous title noting a certificate of origin. This was coordinated
with the Mexican and Canadian gvts. Wondering what incident set that one
off.
