OMG chris is starting a "tire thread"!!!!!??!!??!

i talked to benT and he reccomended a 215-55-16 tire..  but someone else told
me that this is "same as stock" rolling diameter of a 205 75 14???
lots of conflicting answers and i just want to try to find something that
will work before i buy tires...
basically i am trying to see what the largest 16" tire i can run on a 2wd
vanagon without rubbing..   the wheels im using are 16"x7.5..

any ideas?
