Thanks Sam, I bought a used (but supposedly in new condition) idle stabilizer from Ebay, but it doesn't hum when I touch it with the key in on position as Germain pointed out (thanks Germain!). Do they all "hum" like that? Maybe I got ripped off...I'll check into the Temp sensor. [I hope that isn't connected to the 02sensor, since my o2sensor has a "missing" connector...missing cause we had to use the wire harness from an 1984 we put this thing back together]. Oh well... do you think a bad idle stabilizer would keep me from making it to Minnesota? Thanks for the advice and zip file ;-) James Benthall 87 Westy (The Phoenix)
