Oh phooey, I STILL wish I could have gone to Everybus! Even though the Larry & Ben mutual admiration society didn't meet there this year and the Canadians are trying to take over.

But I'm finally back from Egypt, and I've been reunited with Matilda, who spent a nice two months with Ken in Millville getting lots of surgery and treatments of all sorts. (Thank you, Ken!) So now the transmission works and the clutch works and I have new fuel and coolant hoses and I even have functioning windshield wiper fluid pump and A/C. We (Matilda and I, that is) got to DC from Ken's, and soon I'll actually be back on the road again! Six weeks in Egypt really interfered with my travel plans....

Ken said he'd be glad to have his yard back, but I dunno, I think Matilda bonded with the other vanagons there, and I'm sure they were sorry to see her go.

It'll sure be nice to sleep in my own van again, instead of a hotel in Cairo (or the couch in my mother's apartment :-). I did see some very nice VWs in Vienna on the way home, though.

Joy
