In 1991 I was given my '84 7 passenger with a blown engine (the price was right). I scrounged around and found another '84 (cheap) that had a running engine so I took the running engine from the "Parts" van and put it in my freebie. There was the major improvement, Stan ... the engine I put in RAN.

I did this without benefit of a Bentley or the list or help from a friend. A solo job from start to finish.

I had no knowledge of WBXRs so I just got a handful of "String Tags" and a box of zip-loc sandwich bags. I tagged all the wires and put nuts and bolts from each component in separate labeled bags. That way if something required "Special" fasteners they either went back to the place they came from or were replaced with new of the same grade and type.

Long story short ... I'm still driving that '84 with its swapped in WBXR engine.
