"2 of the arm rests in my 1990 Carat have broken at the pivot point. Can anyone tell me what it is that breaks in there...and what is the best fix?"

I'm wondering if they "broke" or if the screws holding the steel bracket to the side of the seat back came unscrewed (a very common occurrence)? I've taken these off when they got floppy, reinstalled the brackets with locktite on the screws and a small amount of lube on the pivot points. Let me know if you want or need the description of this procedure. bob
