1988 Vanagon GL,139K on odometer but TMU, automatic transaxle, engine/trans/final drive have synthetic oil. Tires are Michelin Agilis in 185R14 ($500!), on stock steel wheels with < 1K on tires. AM/FM cassette with 6 speakers, battery is 4 months old. A/C (that needs a charge), cruise control (that doesn't work) and power mirrors. Front and rear wipers have fairly new blades. Body in good condition, with one dent/scratch on sliding door, and various small dents and scrapes. One rust through spot on bottom of rear van window (drivers side), currently sealed with RTV (hole ~ the size of a quarter), for some reason, it doesn't have any seam rust. Interior dirty but in good condition otherwise, fold down rear bed, no middle seat. Engine has new distributor and all new belts. I also have new fuel line and clamps, plus a new fuel filter to go on it. New cooling fan resistor. Left cylinder coolant seal bad, will not hold coolant, so it needs to be resealed. Engine still starts and runs (was running fine before the seal went), but van cannot be driven. Seal let go today in my driveway, as I was pulling into the garage. As I am on a fixed income, I can't afford to get this fixed. Lots of extras go with it, things I had bought to fix it up and never installed. :-( $1500 - as is, where is. Pictures upon request (after I take them :-) ). Don in Reidsville, NC 1986 Kawasaki Concours 1988 Vanagon GL (Sylvia) - For Sale! "I reject your reality and substitute my own." - Adam Savage |
