Late spring/summer is a great time to go up north. I notice you aren't planning to go north, but you may want to consider it. In 2002 my wife and I drove through BC, the Yukon, Alaska, and the NWT in a 72 Westy. We especially liked the Yukon and hope to be up there again this summer (in a Vanagon Westy). The scenery in northern BC and the Yukon/Alaska is amazing. It's also warm enough to enjoy it. The only negative is it can get a bit buggy at times so carry lot's of "Off". It was really fun being above the artic circle and having nearly 24 hours of daylight... http://www.pauldottrip.com/dempster_inuvik/pages/a062702_inuvik56.htm other memories... http://www.pauldottrip.com/atlin_bc/pages/a070802_atlin_bc140.htm http://www.pauldottrip.com/atlin_bc/pages/a070802_atlin_bc165.htm http://www.pauldottrip.com/vancouver_to_yukon/pages/a062002_bc05.htm http://www.pauldottrip.com/vancouver_to_yukon/pages/a062002_bc85.htm http://www.pauldottrip.com/stewart_hyder/pages/a070902_stewart_hyder270.htm http://www.pauldottrip.com/stewart_hyder/pages/a070902_stewart_hyder320.htm http://www.pauldottrip.com/fernie_harrison/pages/DSCN0404.htm http://www.pauldottrip.com/fernie_harrison/pages/DSCN0498.htm http://www.pauldottrip.com/okanagan/pages/DSCN0100a.htm http://www.pauldottrip.com/okanagan/pages/DSCN0125.htm http://www.pauldottrip.com/kootneys/pages/DSCN0240.htm |
