I share your concern. I have seen first hand in a way few can what is
happening in terms of global warming.
I lived for thirty years in Alaska. When I first went there great
glaciers came right down to the roads in many places. Black Rapids
Glacier up near Fairbanks was growing so rapidly that there was concern
that it would plough through the highway and block the highway off. When
I drove out of Alaska a few years ago I was stunned to see that these
glaciers could not even be seen from the roads anymore. It is scarey,
when you can see the obvious physical evidence of the global warming.
Given what is happening, any thing at all that can be done to alleviate
the situation should be done in my estimation.
