Sorry for the slightly off-topic subject, but I suspect I'm not the only one who owns a VW car in addition to my Vanagon. VW is blowing out their PhatNoise hard drive based MP3 setup way below cost. This fits 1998 or 1999 (depending on the model) thru 2005 VW cars. It was originally $800, and is now down to $159. I just ordered one for my wife's '03 Passat. (I'm sure glad I resisted the urge to pay $800 for it when I bought the car!) The unit goes in the trunk (or hatchback), where the optional CD changer would go, using the CD changer wiring that is already present in most models, and is controlled by the stock VW indash (with voice confirmation). It's the same thing as a Kenwood Music Keg, but built for VW. An included 20 GB cartridge holds literally thousands of hours of music, which you load by simply dropping the cartridge into an included UPS cradle and copying the music onto it via your PC..(It accepts CD .wav files or mp3 files.) I have had a hard-drive based MP3 player in my Vanagon for years (a Sonic Blue Empeg) and would never go back. It's great! With about 500 CD's worth of music stored internally, it makes CD changers utterly archaic. Plus, these types of units have much better sound quality than you can get by running an ipod through an FM modulator.
