drive this thing next to the wall or concrete median on the expressway.
if you hear the same or louder then put in the clutch and it goes away i
would strongly suspect the ring and pinion in the trans.  i also might be
main shaft bearings in the trans, thats what causes the R&P to go bad in
the first place.
