It is 9 C and windy outside so I did the 'quick check' and disconnected the sensor and reconected it........sure 'nuf works fine now Thanks to all. Keith 88 Westy

The sender in the expansion tank.

I've had this happen due to corrosion at the contacts where the wires connect to the sender, too. Clean that connection well first.
