Volks,

Before using this so-called heat shield as a griddle, be sure the original blue polyethylene plastic film is in place; it'll keep your flapjacks from sliding around as you prepare breakfast while your spouse hurries to exit the campground before the ranger comes around to collect your camping fee. Of course, you should always do so with the camper top raised, to draw as much attention as possible.

Oh, and that little mysterious silver socket on the dashboard? Pencil sharpener.
