Temp 2 sensor, ignition or valve problem? O2 sensor does not affect start up. Now are you talking during warm up or shortly after? A ground problem can cause a run away rich condition. So will a bad )2 sensor. The ground problem is suspected if disconnecting the O2 sensor does not help. Remember, after disconnect to re-start the engine to reset the ECU to base line.

Hey, bad boy here....

I did an engine overall: http://www.benplace.com/vanagon_engine6.htm

and i have a slight problem... too ritch at cold start...way too ritch, heavy smell of fuel and fuel smoke... also, a small hesitation wile driving with the OS plug...but unplug, the van is ok.

There is a new but not OEM OS on that van, the customer tell me that when he unplug the OS power is almost back to normal...ok, bad OS.... or cheap OS...

But still, how come with or without the OS plug i have that fuel smoke in the back????

I will try an OEM OS tomorrow but if you have any suggestions mean wile...please send it to me...

Am lost and tired here!!!!!!!

Cheers, Ben
