Subject: Again with the cluster swap questions..
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Hi folks,

I know this has been covered extensively in the archives, but I'm having trouble deciphering the many posts as they might apply to my situation...

I have an '85 Wolfsburg westy (non-GL--no tach, big clock) and happened upon a cluster with tach from an '84...Actually found it online and got it from a yard in Nebraska for $40 shipped! No broken tabs even!

It's one of the tachs without the color-coding...Strangely enough, the mileage is within 4000 miles of my current cluster. Crazy.

So I'm wondering about the swap...I'm assuming that this tach'd cluster came from an '84 Wolfsburg, so late-'84 I assume; should their be any major plug changes or should it fit right up with the addition of a tach wire?

Thanks in advance, Joe T. Denver, CO '85 Wolfsburg Westfalia
