Jim, When you do get some fix, consider changing the oil by pumping it out of the dipstick tube. With the oil hot and a bit of a grade, even a drill pump will work. saves wear and tear on the plug. gary Date: Wed, 27 Apr 2005 13:35:03 EDT From: Jim Comer <Shadesof2worlds@CS.COM> Subject: Oil drain plug

I just bought a 84 gl and everything was great until tune up time ..I found that the oil drain plug is stripped..Is there anything i can do to fix it besides tearing the motor down?? It only has 50,000 on it ..Any help would be grateful....
