Subject: Exhaust port bolt size needed

Howdy to all on the list. I just recently joined. Very interesting reading. This list is very similar to the scirocco.org list. (Great group of people)

My questions are: What size bolts are used to secure the exhaust pipe to the head? Did VW use the same bolts in any other H2O models? What size tap would I require to clean them out? I just bought a 86' Vanagon GL 2.1L. I currently replacing the exhaust. 3 Broken bolts so far. I just hope the Jetta doesn't get jealous. Thanx in advance...

Danno Delaware Water Gap, PA 89' Jetta (G60 upgrade in future?) 86' Vanagon (Family hauler) 79' Rocco (Heidi)
