I haven't been there this year but in my past visits during the winter/spring months the place is a ghost town. The only ranger is the "iron" ranger. The real ranger comes by once a day to collect money from the pipe. They do snowplow quite a few parking/camping sites on a regular basis however. In the past I do recall a small trailer being parked there with an extension cord run into the bathroom for power. Never saw who or what occupied it though. Rest assured that the place isn't snowed in. I've been there after epic dumps and there was always a place to park for the night. Like I said earlier it is open year round.

Thanks for the tips!

FYI, Sugar Pine Point is not answering their phones, and Camp Richardson said "too much snow on the ground, we won't open for RVs until May 13th". Fallen Leaf lake's website says "May 30 - Mid October".

I wonder if ALL the camping/rv spots around lake tahoe are snowed in? Anyone actually been there in the last week or so?
