Nice report, photo essay! Coincidently, We were in the area at the same time & did exactly the same mileage, 930 miles RT, in my Westy from SLC to Moab, then to Page, AZ, then back to SLC, on business, but had mtn bike, gr. Pyrenees w/ moi. Put VW alloys on Westy the day before I left after loosing 2nd OG hubcap in 1 month & coincidently got over 20 mpg going 65-70 mph when I could! Never got that mpg before & nothing else was different. WTF? The whole of S. Utah/N. AZ. is green & awash in flowers, etc. as your essay demonstrated. Thanks for the report. Tom Buese-Coffee shop owner in Page said European visitors started coming in droves in late Feb. & he had his best March ever. Now is the time! |
