Subject: Vanagon Sliding Door Locking Mechanism
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi all,

I own a westy syncro 91 with power lock and my sliding Door Locking Mechanism doesn't work properly. Can't lock or unlock the door using the lock of the sliding door. But I can lock or unlock all the doors (including the sliding door) from the front doors? Can this be fixed?

Also, the lock mechanism of my cargo door was changed by the previous owner so now i need two keys to unlock the doors of the westy. Is this supposed to be a power lock too? right now it isn't. My guess is that the previous owner had installed a regular lock mecanism and it's not correctly insalled.

The main problem with his installation is that the cargo door can't be permanently unlock. I need the key each time i want to open the door. It won't stay unlock. This is very annoying.
