Yeah , these other things can happen,but the orifice purge is the only solution I have needed on several friges.Fires right up afterwords.The hole is soooo fine that residue from just about anything will narrow it too much.Corrosion from just sitting will do the deed too.All burners have dead bugs in them,but I just fry them up.While you have the frig out, you can tell how the valve is,by turning on the gas.While you got the frige out , burp it.Turn it upside down and shake it vigorously for a couple minutes.Some people keep it upsde down for a couple days and tap the pipes with a rubber hamnmer a few times.This will allow the liquid inside the pipes to come out from the nooks and crannys and go back where it belongs.You can hook up the frig to a common gas grill tank/valve and fire it up.No electricity needed.You can play with it till you turn blue in the face, but the soultion has always been the orifice.If it fires up with the gas grill propane , but not in the van, may be the valve.Almost all valves are 11 inches of water collum(hello mike)unless they are for special applicaton. I learned this trick after r and r-ing the frige about 10 times. |
