If you stay only 48 hours, you may only have time to visit Montreal. Here some suggestions: -Park in Old Montreal at the "Old Clock" parking. Close to our IMAX theatre. From there you can walk to the heart towns. -Camping on the south shore. If you are lucky you will have a site (First come first serve) on the St-Laurence river with a nice view of Down Town at night -Nice walk to see Montreal region: St-Hilaire Park. 30 minutes south of Mtl -Iles Ste-Helene: F1 race track, casino, nice walking and Mtl view Have fun. Joel

Hi Al,

I'll second what Doug said... Trying to speak *some* french will indeed help to get the local's sympathy. And Quebec city has some gorgeous 400-year-old architecture that shouldn't be missed. We toured the citadel and the old town in 1977 and it was amazing.

Happy trails,
