Taking a recent thread in a slightly different direction... I agree that pure copper is a really bad choice for brake lines... the first link below is from copper.org, and talks about a 90/10 copper-nickel alloy for brake tubing (if copper.org isn't advocating pure copper, then it must be a bad idea). I'm about to perform a total brake-line transplant on my westie, and lines that don't rust are really appealing... but I'd like to find out if anyone has real-world experience with this, or any other rust-free solution for brake lines.
