Clearly impossible!

I did average better than 19 MPG over a 10.000 mile trans-continental journey in 2001... that was in my 85 westie (1.9L, 4-spd manual trans). Needless to say, there was lots of highway driving, and the engine was freshly tuned and timed before I left.
