Subject: Since it's in the shop anyway . . .

In for a penny, in for a pound.

Mellow Yellow (84 WBX) is in the shop and the heads are off. The coolant leak is due to head corrosion so we'll be taking care of that. Since that's being done, this is a good time to take care of other things. I will ask for:

1. Replace all the fuel lines, starting at the fuel tank back to the injector seals and high pressure injection hoses.

2. Replace any other funky hoses.

3. Check the water pump pulley shaft for bearing play and check for leaks at the vent hole on the underside of the pump. If problem found, this is a good time to replace it.

4. Check for weak exhaust pipes.

5. The heads are off. Replace the lifters.

6. Bleed and re-fill the cooling system.

--What else would be smart to do at this time?
