Subject: hesitation

Hi. Sun. night when I was driving home I started having problems with hesitation. I had just cleared a not-so-big hill, when I could feel it sort of stuttering. The tach never wavered, and it wasn't too bad, but I could definitely feel it a bit. It didn't do it every second but it also never went a minute without doing it. Just an annoying stuttering feeling. I drove it last night and didn't notice anything, but this morning it feels like it might be back. Its a little hard to tell as it is all back roads to work, but at lunch I'm going to take it on the highway and see if it happens again. I can think of a number of things that would cause this, but the fact that the engine never falters just seems strange.

Any ideas?

thanks in advance rob infante 87 syncro westy
