Starbucks wifi comes at a price. They use T-mobile, and it's not free. No, you don't have to go into Starbucks - but you do have to put your credit card in!

But I'm definitely with Greg on the internet - it is BRILLIANT! Much of what I do as both vocation and avocation uses a computer. I wouldn't leave my laptop at home any more than some of you would leave home without your CDs or your DVDs or (heaven forbid!) your televisions. Now that's what seems absurd to me, traveling in a vanagon with television! But to each her own.

I guess I agree about people's personal cellphone conversations, but maybe I'm just a voyeur - I find it quite entertaining to eavesdrop! And if they're going to have those discussions in public, I'm not going to feel guilty about listening. :-)
