I think you have a sanden 709. 7 is the number of cylinders and 9 is the cubic inch dislacement.Will mount any direction.If the compressor has not been used for a season, the shaft seal probably will leak a bit.New compressors have only a shelf life of 18 months for this reason, so dont fret about a small leak here.If you have a westy, consider removing the cabinet where the a/c is.The unit can stand a cleaning and resealing of the cabinet contents with foam strips(as big a job as it sounds).
