To get to my house, I have to drive up and over Double Oak Mountain - a rise of at least 1000 feet - and my van started doing whay yours is doing. I thought it was a CV going bad. After listening to this for a while, I went to pull the CV making the offending noise, and I found 3 of the 6 CV bolts loose. This was allowing the CV to "Work" and was making the noise. Tightening resolved the issue.

Regards,

John Rodgers 88 GL Driver
